Carbon Offsets from WGL Energy are an affordable and innovative way to reduce your carbon footprint and support cleaner air and water in our region. A carbon offset represents a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions made in one place to compensate for emissions created in another place. WGL Energy ‘s Carbon Offsets are Green-e® Climate certified, and partial proceeds from their purchase are invested in a Carbon Reduction Fund managed by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to support local greenhouse gas reduction projects.
