WGL Energy’s Donation Helps Children’s National Hospital with Advanced Covid-19 Testing

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 8, 2020) -- WGL Energy Services, Inc. (WGL Energy) announced today it has donated $25,000 to Children’s National Hospital’s COVID-19 Emergency Action Fund. The fund was created to respond to the urgent need for free, safe COVID-19 testing that was not readily available in the area early in the pandemic. It also supports other critical hospital priorities during this time of unprecedented strain on resources.

WGL Energy prides itself in supporting the local communities it serves and is a long-time partner with Children’s National, sitting on its corporate council.  In 2018, WGL Energy served as the exclusive campaign ‘matching partner’ of the Light Up Dr. Bear campaign launched by Children’s National, in addition to contributing volunteer time, community service outreach and other areas of support.

“WGL Energy is honored to support Children’s ongoing efforts to provide invaluable services in this unprecedented time,” said Clint Zediak, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for WGL Energy. “This Action Fund gets to the heart of our corporate values of giving back to the community and supporting those in need.”
