Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Awards WGL Energy a Two-Year Retail Electricity Supply Contract

WGL Energy is among four companies to win related energy contracts from the DLA in recent bid

Vienna, VA (November 15, 2022) – WGL Energy Services (WGL Energy) is pleased to report that the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has awarded a two-year contract to supply retail electricity across several military branches and U.S. federal departments.

WGL Energy is one of four energy company finalist winners who participated in a competitive bidding process and procurement effort led by the Department of Defense.  Military customers using the competitive electricity supply include the Air Force, Army and Navy. 

The scope of work performed will extend throughout WGL Energy’s service territory. For more than 25 years, WGL Energy has served mid-Atlantic customers with retail electricity, natural gas and renewable options to meet a variety of energy needs.
